Anker Chargers & power banks
The best-known name in chargers and power banks, widely praised for fast, durable gear, but with large 2025 power bank recalls and mixed delivery and support feedback you should know about.

A trusted charging brand with strong gear, as long as you check recall notices and the warranty
Anker makes chargers, cables, hubs, power banks and, under sister brands, earbuds, home batteries and smart-home devices. Reviewers call it dependable, fast and well designed, and it is the market leader in power banks.
The product reputation is strong, but 2025 brought two large power bank recalls for fire and burn hazards, and the brand's Trustpilot score is a middling 3.8 out of 5 with delivery and warranty complaints. If you buy current, non-recalled products, register the purchase and keep your receipt, Anker remains an easy brand to shortlist. Check the recall page before you use any older Anker power bank.
Right for
- Buyers who want fast, well-reviewed chargers and cables from an established brand
- People shopping for a power bank who will check the model against the recall list
- Shoppers who value a 30-day money-back guarantee and a warranty of 18 months or more
Wrong for
- Anyone using an older Anker power bank without checking whether it was recalled
- Buyers who need guaranteed fast delivery and tracking
- People who want free return shipping for a change of mind
+What it gets right
- Strong product reputation. Roundups describe Anker as durable, fast-charging and well designed, and the leader in power banks.
- Wide range. The catalogue covers chargers, cables, hubs, docks, power banks and portable power, with sister brands for audio and smart home.
- A real money-back guarantee. The store offers 30 days to return undamaged products for any reason, with refunds in 3 to 5 business days after inspection.
- Free shipping in the US. The store's Shipping Policy lists free shipping on all orders, with delivery in 3 to 7 business days.
- Long warranties on newer lines. Reported terms are 18 months on most power banks and chargers, 24 months on the Prime, Nano and MagGo lines and 36 months on the PowerCore Reserve.
- A public recall page. The store lists its recalled power banks and apologises for the inconvenience.
−Where it slips
- Large power bank recalls. In June 2025 the U.S. CPSC announced a recall of about 1.16 million PowerCore 10000 (A1263) units after 19 fire or explosion reports, and about 481,000 more power banks (A1647, A1652, A1257, A1681, A1689) were recalled for fire and burn hazards.
- Mixed reputation on Trustpilot. The profile is unclaimed, with 3.8 out of 5 from 6,601 reviews and 23% one-star.
- Delivery and warranty complaints. Reviewers mention delivery delays, tracking problems and unresolved warranty claims.
- Buyer pays return shipping. For non-quality returns Anker refunds only the product cost.
- Earlier controversies. Wikipedia notes a 2022 privacy issue with eufy cameras and a September 2025 congressional request for a Commerce Department review.
- Quality varies by model. Reviewers mention overheating on some wireless power banks, heavy high-capacity packs and flimsy accessories.
Weighted for product quality, safety record, warranty and how buyers are treated
Product quality, safety record and after-sales terms carry the most weight, ahead of range and price. This is a desk-research score: we have not tested Anker products ourselves, and the reviewer summaries below are as shown in search results.
The long version
What reviewers say, what the 2025 recalls mean for buyers, and what the store's own policies promise.
What Anker is
Anker Innovations was founded in September 2011 by Steven Yang and is headquartered in Changsha, China, with a listing on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. The Anker brand makes chargers, cables, hubs and power banks, and the group also owns Soundcore (audio), eufy (smart home), Anker SOLIX (home and portable power), Nebula and others. It sells through its own store and through retailers such as Amazon.
What reviewers say
Roundups describe Anker as a dependable staple, with fast charging, durable construction and thoughtful multi-device chargers, and as the market leader in power banks. The recurring criticisms are occasional overheating on some wireless power banks, heavy high-capacity packs and flimsy accessories, and quality that varies by model.
The 2025 power bank recalls

This is the most important caution. On 12 June 2025 the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of about 1.16 million Anker PowerCore 10000 (model A1263) power banks after 19 reports of fires and explosions, including two minor burn injuries and 11 reports of property damage. A second recall covered about 481,000 power banks, models A1647, A1652, A1257, A1681 and A1689, after 33 reports of fires or explosions and four minor burns. Anker's own recall page lists both groups and dates them to June 2025, while CPSC listings in search results give 18 September 2025 for the second, so read the official notices for your model.
Reputation and what buyers report
Trustpilot shows an unclaimed profile with 3.8 out of 5 from 6,601 reviews, with 62% five-star and 23% one-star. Buyers praise durable, fast products and a smooth store. Complaints centre on delivery delays, tracking problems and unresolved warranty claims. Wikipedia also notes a 2022 privacy controversy over eufy cameras and a request from a U.S. congressional committee in September 2025 for a Commerce Department review, which concern the wider group rather than the chargers themselves.
Anker products worth a look
Reviews of a brand are only useful if you know what to buy, so here are four current products from the US store. We checked each model number against Anker's recall list and none appears on it. The specifications and prices are the brand's own, from 3 Oct 2026.
Anker Nano Charger 45W (A121D)
A single-port 45W GaN wall charger weighing about 75 g, with a plug that folds flat and a small display that shows watts and temperature. It was $39.99 against a $49.99 list price, with a 4.9 store rating from 922 reviews. The brand says it can charge an iPhone 17 Pro to 50% in about 20 minutes, though its own footnote says the charger delivered up to 39W to that phone in testing. It is the easiest recommendation for most people because it also charges tablets and most USB-C phones.

Anker Laptop Power Bank 25K, 165W (A1695)
A 25,000 mAh power bank with three USB-C ports (two with built-in retractable cables) and one USB-A, up to 165W combined and 100W on a single port, weighing about 595 g. It was $119.99 with a 4.8 rating from 742 reviews, and the brand lists it as flight-approved and monitored by its ActiveShield 2.0 temperature system. It suits laptops and long trips. Given the 2025 recalls, register it, keep the receipt and check the recall page from time to time.

Anker MagGo 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station (A25M8)
A foldable Qi2 charging pad for an iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods, at $89.99 with a 4.9 rating from 119 reviews. It charges a phone at up to 15W and a watch or earbuds at 5W, and it works with the iPhone 12 to 17 series. A 40W adapter is recommended and, depending on the bundle, is not always included, so check what is in the box before you order.

Anker Prime Wireless Charging Station 3-in-1 (A25N1)
A pricier desktop version at $149.99 (list $179.99) with a 4.8 rating from 178 reviews. It offers Qi2.2 charging up to 25W for newer iPhones, 5W for the watch and earbuds, and an AirCool fan the brand says runs at 19 dB. It is designed for Apple devices only and needs a 45W or higher adapter, sold separately, for full speed.

Returns, shipping and warranty
The US store offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for any reason on undamaged products with packaging and accessories. Refunds go to the original payment method 3 to 5 business days after the return passes inspection. You pay return shipping unless the item is faulty. Shipping is free on all US orders and takes 3 to 7 business days, and the store ships within the United States only. Orders placed through Amazon or Kickstarter follow those sellers' policies. Reported warranty lengths are 18 months for most power banks and chargers, 24 months for the Prime, Nano and MagGo lines and 36 months for PowerCore Reserve, and they vary by country.

The 2025 power bank recalls are the main caution, along with delivery and warranty complaints. Check the recall page, buy current models, keep your receipt and register the product, and Anker is still an easy default for chargers and cables.
