01The short version

A well-organised specialist with a big range — and return terms you should read first

AquaBlu Mosaics is a real, US-based online tile retailer with unusually deep pool-tile choice, clear published policies and a phone line you can actually call. The trade-offs are a restocking fee, a list of non-returnable brands, and a thin, mixed body of independent reviews.

7.4/10
Verdict

Buy from AquaBlu if you want a wide pool and mosaic selection from one place and you order samples first. Be careful with big, custom or designer-brand orders, because those are the ones the return policy treats least generously.

Right for

  • Pool owners and builders who want many glass, porcelain and stone options in one store
  • Buyers who will order samples before committing to a full order
  • Anyone who wants US phone support and clear shipping thresholds

Wrong for

  • Buyers outside the contiguous US (shipping is limited to it)
  • Anyone who might need to return large or designer-brand orders
  • Shoppers who rely on a large volume of independent reviews before buying

+What it gets right

  • Deep selection. The public product feed lists about 4,700 products from 40 brands, and the store filters by material, colour, shape, size, finish, thickness and brand, which makes a large catalogue manageable.
  • Cheap samples. Samples are sold for most tile, stone and turf products (maximum two of the same SKU). About three quarters of the sample listings we checked cost $4.99, so checking colour before a full order is inexpensive.
  • Clear shipping thresholds. Free shipping over $299 on ground-shippable items and a $99 flat rate for heavy truck deliveries over 150 lb.
  • Real contact details. A Tampa, Florida address and a US phone line with published hours.
  • Policies in plain sight. Shipping, returns, damage and error reporting windows are all published, not buried.

−Where it slips

  • Restocking fee. 15–25% is deducted from return refunds, depending on material and manufacturer.
  • Non-returnable list. Samples, custom and made-to-order items, and named brands (SICIS, Bisazza, Vidrepur, Laguna glass tile, Big Joe) cannot be returned.
  • Short windows. 15 days to return (30 in some cases), 5 days to report damage and 7 days to report a wrong item.
  • Return shipping is on you, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
  • Mixed delivery feedback. Some independent reviews mention delays and colour or appearance differences from what was shown online.
  • Contiguous US only, and no PO boxes.
02Scorecard

Weighted by what goes wrong when you order tile

Tile is heavy, hard to return and easy to get wrong on colour, so policies and delivery carry the most weight, then selection and support. This is a desk-research score: we have not placed an order.

Selection & range8.7
About 4,700 products from 40 brands: roughly 1,800 glass tile, 1,000 porcelain, 800 pool mosaics, 390 ceramic and 200 stone, plus furniture, fire and water features and installation products.
Pricing transparency7.8
Prices are shown per sq ft and samples are sold separately. In the public product feed the median boxed-tile price is about $18/sq ft, with 80% of listings between roughly $8.70 and $45.50.
Shipping & delivery7.0
Clear free-shipping and freight thresholds, but the site quotes slightly different timings on different pages and a few independent reviewers report delays.
Returns & policies6.2
Policy is published and specific, but the 15-25% restocking fee, short windows and non-returnable brand list are restrictive.
Customer support7.9
US phone and email support with published hours; independent reviewers frequently praise responsiveness.
Independent reputation6.6
Small sample: about 4.0 stars from 9 reviews on one platform and 3.0 from 9 on another, with no Trustpilot reviews.

The long version

What the published policies and independent reviews say, section by section.

First impression

AquaBlu Mosaics presents itself as a design resource for pools, outdoor spaces, kitchens and bathrooms, and the storefront backs that up. The navigation is built around how people actually shop for this kind of product: Pool & Spa, Kitchen & Bath, Pool Mosaics, Hardscapes, Outdoor Living, a Tile Finder and an Installation section.

The homepage leans on two claims: the “industry’s largest selection of glass tile pool finishes” and “free or flat rate shipping”. We cannot verify the first, and the second comes with the usual conditions, which the Shipping & Returns page spells out.

Who they are and what they sell

The About page describes a company started by two brothers who love the ocean, beginning as an online supplier of pool mosaics and tile and later widening into outdoor living. Products span glass, porcelain, natural stone and ceramic tile, custom pool mosaics, outdoor furniture, hardscapes and installation materials such as adhesives and grout.

Contact details are easy to find: a Tampa, Florida address listed in public business directories and a US phone line. The company also runs a trade programme, the AquaPRO Trade Network, for contractors and designers, and says every product sale includes a donation to marine conservation.

Shipping and delivery

Free shipping applies to orders over $299 shipped by FedEx or UPS Ground. Heavy orders over 150 lb go by truck for a $99 flat rate that includes pallet delivery, a liftgate and a call before arrival. The trade-programme discount tier is excluded from that flat rate.

Orders process in about three business days and average three to six business days in transit, although the FAQ quotes two to five. Estimated dates are not guaranteed, delivery is limited to the contiguous United States and PO boxes are not supported.

Because pages quote slightly different timings, plan around the longer figures, especially for made-to-order tile.

Returns, restocking fees and the fine print

This is the section to read twice. Returns are accepted within 15 days of receipt, and in some cases 30, if the item is unused and in its original packaging. A restocking fee of 15–25%, depending on material and manufacturer, is deducted from the refund, and you pay for return shipping.

Samples, custom or made-to-order products and several named brands (SICIS, Bisazza, Vidrepur, Laguna glass tile and Big Joe products) cannot be returned at all. Damage must be reported within five days of receipt and wrong items within seven, and refunds are issued within 14 days after inspection and approval. About 50 listings in the catalogue (52 when we checked) also carry “FINAL SALE” in the title, so read the product page before adding those to a cart.

  • Photograph everything. Take photos of the packaging and the tile before you open or install.
  • Order samples. Colour on a screen is unreliable, and samples are the cheapest insurance.
  • Add up the fee. On a large order, 15–25% is a significant amount, so decide before you buy.

What independent reviewers say

Independent feedback is limited, which is worth knowing up front. SmartCustomer (the former Sitejabber) shows about 4.0 stars from nine reviews, with praise for customer service, fast delivery and price, for example one buyer calling it “the best looking pool tile you can find on the market at a very good price”.

A Yelp listing relayed on Yahoo Local shows 3.0 stars from nine reviews. Positive comments mention prompt communication and a willingness to send free samples; the critical ones describe delivery delays and tile that looked different from the online photos. Trustpilot has an unclaimed profile with no reviews, and Shopper Approved shows the company is no longer an active member.

With roughly nine reviews per platform, treat these ratings as a signal, not a verdict.

Pricing and samples

Prices are listed per square foot and are easy to compare across brands. Across the public product feed the median boxed-tile price works out to about $18 per sq ft, with 80% of listings between roughly $8.70 and $45.50; a few designer items run far higher. Bisazza and SICIS, two of the premium names, are on the non-returnable list.

Samples are priced separately on each product: $4.99 on about three quarters of the sample listings we checked, with some at $2.99 or $7.95. Since samples cannot be returned and full-box returns cost a restocking fee, the sample is where you should settle colour, finish and thickness.

The AquaBlu house-brand glass blends (1" x 2" staggered). Blends shift in tone and shimmer, which a screen cannot show; samples can. Product images: AquaBlu Mosaics.

Installation and support

The store recommends a certified pool professional or tile setter and says DIY installation is allowed but unsupported. It suggests epoxy adhesive and epoxy grout for pool applications. Phone support is staffed Monday to Friday in Eastern time, and several independent reviewers specifically praise the help they received choosing tile.

05FAQ

Questions buyers actually ask

Is AquaBlu Mosaics legit?
Everything we could check points to a real, operating retailer: a listed Tampa, Florida address, a US phone line, published policies and multiple independent review listings. The reviews are few, though (about 9 each on two platforms) and the ratings are mixed, so treat it like a small specialist retailer: order samples first and keep records of your order.
Can I get samples before buying?
Yes. Samples are sold for most tile, stone and turf products, with a maximum of two of the same SKU. Samples themselves are non-returnable.
How long does shipping take?
The store says orders process within about 3 business days and transit averages 3–6 business days (the FAQ quotes 2–5). Estimated dates are not guaranteed, and heavy orders ship by truck with an appointment.
What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted within 15 days of receipt (30 in some cases), unused and in the original packaging. A 15–25% restocking fee applies, you pay return shipping, and refunds follow inspection and approval. Custom items, samples and several named brands cannot be returned.
What if my tile arrives damaged or wrong?
Tell the store within 5 days for damage and within 7 days for a wrong or erroneous item. Photograph the packaging and the tile before you open or install anything.
Do they ship outside the contiguous US?
Not directly. Shipping offers apply to the contiguous United States only, with no PO boxes; international orders need a freight forwarder.
Should I install the tile myself?
The store recommends a certified pool professional or tile setter. DIY installs are allowed but not supported. It suggests epoxy adhesive and epoxy grout for pool applications.

07Final verdict
7.4/10

A strong catalogue and honest policies — treat big orders with care

AquaBlu earns its place as a specialist for pool tile and mosaics. The selection is deep, the filters are useful, samples are available, and the shipping and return terms are published in detail rather than hidden.

What holds the score back is how unforgiving those terms can be. A 15–25% restocking fee, short reporting windows, buyer-paid return shipping and a list of non-returnable brands mean the safest way to buy is samples first, then one carefully checked order.

Buy if you

  • Want a wide choice of pool tile and mosaics from one store
  • Will order samples and confirm colour before buying in bulk
  • Prefer a retailer with a US phone line and published policies

Skip if you

  • Need to return large orders without a restocking fee
  • Live outside the contiguous US
  • Want a retailer with dozens of independent reviews behind it

How this review was put together

This is a desk-research review. We did not place an order or handle the tile. Every policy figure comes from AquaBlu's own Shipping & Returns, FAQ and About pages, and the reputation section summarises public review listings that we read on 29 Sep 2026. Where sources disagree we say so. Product images are taken from AquaBlu's public product catalogue to show what the store sells and belong to AquaBlu Mosaics and its suppliers. Catalogue figures come from the store's public product feed on 29 Sep 2026.

Big Time Bikers is independent and is not affiliated with AquaBlu Mosaics. The Where to buy link is an affiliate link: if you buy through it we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and this never changes a score.
