DeerValley DV-1S0371-V3 smart toilet and DV-1F0437 toilet
Two very different DeerValley toilets, one a $673 smart model and one a $299 plain one-piece, both well rated on the brand's own pages, but with no independent test and return rules that disagree with each other.

Reasonable hardware on paper and good ratings on the brand's own pages, but the paperwork needs reading twice
This is our second look at DeerValley Bath. Our earlier review covered the DV-1S0159-V3 smart toilet; this one covers the DV-1S0371-V3 ADA smart toilet and the DV-1F0437 one-piece dual-flush toilet, which has no smart functions at all.
Both product pages carry strong ratings from the brand's own review widget, 4.9 from 62 reviews for the smart model and 4.7 from 19 for the plain toilet. We found no independent test of either model. The only outside coverage is a promotional Gadget Flow article and a company press release. Trustpilot shows 3.2 from a single one-star review, which is too thin to judge anything. The policies are the weak point: the Shopify refund policy says sale items cannot be returned and promises refunds in 10 business days, while the Return and Refund Policy page allows 30 days, says 15 business days and does not mention a sale exclusion. The $673 smart toilet is a sale price.
Right for
- Buyers who want a heated, auto-flush smart toilet well below premium brands and will confirm the return terms in writing first
- Anyone who needs a plain, ADA-height toilet at about $300 and is happy to read the spec sheet before ordering
- Shoppers who will compare the same model number at a large retailer before paying direct
Wrong for
- Buyers who want an independent lab or magazine test before spending $673
- People who rely on Trustpilot or the BBB as a trust signal, because the record is thin
- Anyone who needs a guaranteed return on a sale-priced item
+What it gets right
- Detailed spec tables. Both pages list overall size, rough-in, bowl height and trapway diameter, and the smart model lists wash, comfort and safety functions one by one.
- Strong store ratings. The smart toilet shows 4.9 out of 5 from 62 reviews and the DV-1F0437 shows 4.7 from 19 on deervalleybath.com.
- A non-smart option. The DV-1F0437 is a $299 one-piece, rimless, dual-flush toilet at 17.5 in seat height with seat included.
- Warranty tiers are stated. The Warranty Policy gives two years on smart toilets and one year on other products.
- Accidental-damage cover is offered separately. The product pages offer a paid protection plan from a third party, from $54.99 for the smart toilet and $24.99 for the plain one.
−Where it slips
- No independent test. We found no hands-on review or lab test of either model, only a promotional article and a press release.
- Thin reputation record. Trustpilot shows one review (1 star) on an unclaimed profile, and the company has not invited reviews.
- Policies disagree. Refund time is 10 business days on one page and 15 on another, there are two support email addresses, and only one page excludes sale items.
- The sale price may be non-returnable. The refund policy says sale items cannot be returned; the smart toilet is listed at a 44% saving.
- Return wording fits clothing. The Return Policy asks for items to be unworn with tags attached, and the customer may pay return shipping on change-of-mind returns.
- Specs are not fully consistent. The DV-1F0437 text says a 12-inch rough-in while its table lists 11.42 inches, and certifications are shown only as names.
Weighted for evidence, clarity of terms and value
Independent evidence and policy clarity carry the most weight. This is a desk-research score: we have not installed or used either toilet.
The long version
What the two product pages say, what outside sources add and where the policies disagree.
Why a second DeerValley review
Our earlier review looked at the DV-1S0159-V3 smart toilet and found strong retailer ratings, a thin independent record and policies that disagreed. This article takes two different products from the same store, the DV-1S0371-V3 ADA smart toilet and the DV-1F0437 one-piece toilet, and re-reads the policies and reputation sources as they stand on 14 Oct 2026.
The two products

DV-1S0371-V3 ADA smart toilet
The page shows $673.00 against a $1,199.95 regular price, labelled Save 44%, and a 4.9 rating from 62 reviews. The spec table gives a one-piece unit with a siphon flush at 1.28 GPF, a 12 inch rough-in, a 17.13 inch seat height and a weight of 100.53 lb. The function list includes a sensor-activated lid and foot control, seat heating, warm-air drying, oscillating and bubble wash, a UV nozzle, a foam shield, a 2.4G remote and flushing without electricity. ADA and Map 1000 are shown as ticked features. UPC, EPA, CEC, DOE and ETL appear only as certification labels, without certificate numbers or documents on the page we read. A smart toilet of this kind needs an electrical supply near the toilet, as we noted in our earlier review.

DV-1F0437 one-piece toilet
A plain, non-smart toilet: $299.00 against $388.70, rated 4.7 from 19 reviews. The page describes a rimless elongated bowl, dual flush at 1 or 1.28 GPF, a 17.5 inch seat height, a soft-close quick-release seat and a 1000g MaP score, with cUPC, EPA and CEC named as certifications. One detail does not line up: the feature text promises a standard 12 inch rough-in, while the dimension table lists 11.42 inches. Check the measurement with the brand before you buy if your bathroom is tight.
What independent sources say
We found no independent test of either model. What exists is promotional.
- Gadget Flow, written by Madhurima Nag and dated 23 Mar 2026, features the DV-1S0371-V3 as the hygiene-focused model. It reports no testing or measurement and runs alongside a DeerValley spring sale promotion, so we treat it as marketing.
- DeerValley press release, issued through GlobeNewswire on 28 Mar 2026, calls the DV-1S0371-V3 the "Elevated All-Rounder" among three V3 models. It makes no WaterSense, ADA or MaP claims.
- Retailers. Search showed no Home Depot, Lowe's, Wayfair or Walmart listing for the DV-1S0371-V3 and only sparse Walmart snippets for the DV-1F0437 (a handful of ratings, inconsistent between snapshots), so there are no outside customer reviews for these exact models that we could verify.
Reputation

Trustpilot shows 3.2 out of 5 from one review, which is a one-star complaint dated Sep 2026 about a replacement part that arrived with no instructions. The profile is unclaimed and Trustpilot notes that the company has not invited customers to review, so this tells you nothing about typical experience. The BBB profile cited in our earlier review (a D- rating, not accredited) sat behind a bot check on 14 Oct 2026 and we did not re-verify it. The store's own review widgets, 4.9 from 62 and 4.7 from 19, are brand-run and not independently verified.
Where the policies disagree

We re-read the four policy pages. The earlier finding holds, with sharper detail.
- Sale items. The Shopify refund policy says "we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards". The Return and Refund Policy page, which is the one linked in the footer, has no such exclusion. The DV-1S0371-V3 is shown at a 44% saving, and the DV-1F0437 at 23%.
- Refund timing. The Return and Refund Policy page says refunds go to the original payment method within 15 business days. The Shopify refund policy says within 10 business days.
- Contact address. The Return and Refund page and the product FAQ use [email protected]; the Shopify refund policy and the Shipping Policy use [email protected]. The footer phone is (312) 626-9466, while the returns block lists (630) 423-6966.
- Return shipping. The Return Policy page says the brand may not cover return shipping on change-of-mind returns, while the product pages promise "complimentary shipping and returns" and a 30-day risk-free trial.
- Clothing wording. Both return pages ask for items that are unworn with tags attached, which reads like apparel text, not a toilet.
- Refund scope. The Return Policy limits refunds to the product price and excludes installation, removal and labour.
- Shipping cost. The home page and footer say all products ship free in North America, while the product pages say "Shipping calculated at checkout". The Shipping Policy gives 1 to 3 business days to pack and 2 to 5 business days in transit but says nothing about cost.

Warranty

The policy gives a one-year limited warranty on all products, excluding accessories, and two years on smart toilets. The remedy is replacement parts at no charge or, at the brand's option, repair, replacement, a refund (within 30 days of delivery) or credit. Scratches are not covered, the original purchaser and proof of purchase are required, and the brand recommends a licensed plumber and does not pay for removal or installation. One sentence still says defects must be "inspected in the first one year of delivery", which sits oddly beside the two-year smart toilet term. The product pages also mention "1-Year Warranty" for the DV-1F0437 and "2-Year Warranty" for the DV-1S0371-V3, which matches the policy.
Buying advice
Ask support in writing whether the sale price affects the 30-day return, keep the confirmation with your invoice, and compare the model numbers at another retailer if one lists them. If you only need a dependable toilet, the plain DV-1F0437 limits the exposure to $299.

The two models side by side
The smart toilet and the plain one-piece share a brand, a store and a return policy, but little else. Prices are deervalleybath.com prices on 14 Oct 2026.
| Model | Price | What it offers | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| DV-1S0371-V3 | $673 (list $1,199.95) | ADA smart toilet with sensor lid, heated seat, bidet wash, dryer, UV nozzle, 1.28 GPF siphon flush | 4.9 from 62 store reviews; 2-year warranty; needs a power outlet |
| DV-1F0437 | $299 (list $388.70) | One-piece elongated rimless dual-flush toilet, 17.5 in seat height, seat included, 1000g MaP claim | 4.7 from 19 store reviews; 1-year warranty; no electronics |
If you want a bidet toilet with fewer parts to fail, the plain DV-1F0437 plus a separate bidet seat is a cheaper test of the brand. The smart model is the one to price-compare first, because its sale price is the most exposed to the sale-item exclusion.

Fair hardware, decent store ratings, thin evidence and a fine print problem
Both toilets have full spec tables and ratings of 4.9 and 4.7 on the brand's own pages, and the prices are well below the regular prices the store shows. Those ratings are the brand's own evidence, and we found nothing independent to back them.
The weak spots are the contradictions between the refund pages, the sale-item exclusion that may apply to the $673 smart toilet, and a Trustpilot profile with one review. None of that proves a problem, but it is why the score stays under 7.
Consider it if you
- You will get the return terms for your exact order confirmed by email
- You have a power outlet and a plumber for the smart model, or a plain rough-in for the DV-1F0437
- You compare the same model number at another retailer first
Skip it if you
- You want a tested, independent verdict before paying
- You need a guaranteed return on a sale-priced item
- You rely on BBB or Trustpilot standing to judge a seller
How this review was put together
This is a desk-research review. We have not installed or used either toilet. Prices, specifications, store ratings and policy text come from deervalleybath.com product and policy pages (checked 14 Oct 2026), where we also read the Shopify product data. Trustpilot was read directly on 14 Oct 2026. The BBB profile cited in our earlier review returned a bot check, so we did not re-verify it and report it only as our earlier finding. Gadget Flow and the DeerValley press release were read through a fetch tool and are treated as promotional. Search showed only sparse Walmart snippets for the DV-1F0437 and no retailer listing for the DV-1S0371-V3. The store's own ratings are not independently verified. We wrote our own text. The images are our own screenshots of public pages, taken on 14 Oct 2026 and shown for review and commentary; content and branding belong to DeerValley Bath or Trustpilot, and we will remove them if asked. We did not download or reuse image files or logos, and we did not review the affiliate programme terms.
