LiTime LiFePO4 batteries
A budget LiFePO4 battery brand with a measured capacity test that beat its label and a 4.6 Trustpilot score, but with a US-focused review profile, buyer-paid return shipping and a French store that ships only to three countries.

Cheap, well-reviewed lithium batteries, with thin evidence on the French store itself
LiTime sells LiFePO4 batteries from 6Ah to 320Ah, plus chargers, inverters and a solar controller, for camper vans, boats, trolling motors and home backup. fr.litime.com is its French store, which delivers to France, Italy and Spain.
The best evidence is a bench test by the German site Techtest.org in March 2023, where a 12V 100Ah LiTime battery delivered about 106 Ah and 1,380 Wh against a 100 Ah and 1,280 Wh label. Customers on Trustpilot give the brand 4.6 out of 5 from 1,664 reviews, but that profile is for litime.com, which describes US warehouses, not the French store. The French store's own product pages show only one or two reviews each, so the reputation evidence for this shop in particular is thin.
Right for
- Camper van, boat or solar owners who want a low-cost 12V LiFePO4 battery and are comfortable wiring and charging it correctly
- Buyers in France, Italy or Spain who want free delivery from a European warehouse
- People who value a measured capacity result over a label claim
Wrong for
- Buyers who need an independent test of the newer Plus and smart models, which we could not find
- Anyone who expects free return shipping if they simply change their mind
- Shoppers outside France, Italy and Spain, as the French store does not ship elsewhere
+What it gets right
- Measured capacity above the label. Techtest.org measured 106.47 Ah (1,379.9 Wh) at 5 A and 105.57 Ah (1,320.8 Wh) at 20 A on a 12V 100Ah unit.
- Low price per kWh. The 12V 100Ah is listed at €249.99 for 1,280 Wh, and the 12V 230Ah Plus at €499.99 for 2,944 Wh usable.
- Free delivery in three countries. Standard delivery is free to France, Italy and Spain, shipped from a French warehouse first, then Germany, in 2 to 7 business days.
- Strong Trustpilot score. The litime.com profile shows 4.6 out of 5 from 1,664 reviews and the company replies to 77% of negative reviews.
- Clear specifications. The 230Ah Plus page lists a 200 A BMS, IP65 rating, low-temperature charge cut-off at 0 degrees C and expansion to 4P4S.
−Where it slips
- Reviews are for another store. The Trustpilot profile we found is for litime.com and talks about US warehouses; we found no profile for the French store.
- Return shipping can be yours. A buyer-caused return is paid by the customer and the cost is deducted from the refund.
- Defect claims need proof. Damaged or defective items require photos or video, otherwise the return is treated as buyer's remorse.
- Test is old and covers an earlier model. Techtest tested the 100Ah in 2023, when it had no Bluetooth and no low-temperature cut-off.
- Sale-price anchors. Struck-through prices of €399.99 and €899.99 are the store's own and the pages are in a permanent promotion mode.
- Machine-translated copy. Parts of the French product pages read as awkward translations, including mixed Italian words.
Weighted for tested performance, reputation, terms and value
Measured performance and reputation carry the most weight for a battery. This is a desk-research score: we have not bought or tested a LiTime battery ourselves.
The long version
What LiTime sells in France, what an independent bench test and customers say, and what the return and delivery terms are.
What LiTime is
LiTime makes and sells LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) batteries, mostly 12V, 24V and 36V, together with chargers, inverters, a solar controller and electric outboard motors. The French store at fr.litime.com lists about 45 products, including 12V batteries from 6Ah to 320Ah aimed at camper vans, boats and trolling motors. Its refund policy gives a German return address under the name Starrysea GmbH.

What an independent test found
We found one proper bench test of a LiTime 12V 100Ah battery. Techtest.org (Michael Barton, 12 March 2023) discharged a unit on an electronic load and measured 106.47 Ah (1,379.9 Wh) at 5 A, 106.06 Ah at 10 A and 105.57 Ah (1,320.8 Wh) at 20 A, above the 100 Ah and 1,280 Wh label. The tester used it with a Victron solar controller and mixed it in parallel with another maker's 100Ah batteries without problems, and called it his first choice for price against capacity, as long as the price stays under €400. He also noted the unit had no Bluetooth monitoring and no low-temperature charge cut-off, so you must avoid charging below 0 degrees C. The site carries affiliate links and says LiTime appears to be the renamed Ampere Time. We found no independent test of the 230Ah Plus.
What customers report
The Trustpilot profile for litime.com shows 4.6 out of 5 from 1,664 reviews, a claimed profile with a paid Trustpilot subscription, and the company replies to 77% of negative reviews. Recent reviews praise delivery speed, packaging and support. The profile text, however, describes US warehouses in Los Angeles and Dallas, so it reflects the US store rather than fr.litime.com, and we found no Trustpilot page for the French domain or litime.eu. Reviews on the French product pages are few: the 100Ah shows 1 review and the 230Ah Plus 2, all 5.0.

Best sellers

12V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery
Priced at €249.99 against a struck-through €399.99, this is the classic group-31 style battery that Techtest measured. The page cites 4,000 or more cycles at 100% depth of discharge, an ABYC marine compatibility claim and a "Best Value" mention by Will Prowse in 2023, which we could not confirm on his channel. A two-pack costs €494.98.

12V 230Ah Plus LiFePO4 battery
Priced at €499.99 against €899.99 and labelled Best-seller, it lists a 200 A BMS, 2,560 W peak output, 2,944 Wh of usable energy, IP65 protection, cut-off of charging below 0 degrees C and expansion to 4P4S. The page states a 5-year warranty and gives a cost of €0.18 per deep cycle, which is the brand's own calculation.
Delivery, returns and warranty

- Delivery. Free standard delivery to France, Italy and Spain only, by DPD or DHL, with 1 business day of processing and 2 to 7 business days in transit, from a French warehouse first and a German one if needed.
- Returns. Requests are allowed within 30 days of receipt for unused items in original packaging, with proof of purchase, and LiTime promises a reply within 24 hours.
- Who pays return shipping. LiTime pays when an item is defective, damaged or wrong, with photos or video as proof. The customer pays for buyer-caused returns, and the cost is deducted from the refund.
- Refunds. Paid back to the original method within 3 business days of an approved return.
- After 30 days. The policy refers to repair under its warranty terms; only the 230Ah Plus page states a 5-year figure that we saw.
Buying advice
Match the battery to your charger and cold-weather use, wire it with correctly sized cable and fuse, and never charge it below freezing without a heated model or a charge controller that handles it. Photograph the box and the battery on arrival and keep the receipt for the 30-day window.

How this review was put together
This is a desk-research review. We have not bought or tested a LiTime battery. Prices, specifications, shipping and refund terms come from fr.litime.com product pages, its products.json feed and policy pages (checked 14 Oct 2026; the French store appears to be a Shopify store). The measured capacity comes from Techtest.org, a German site by Michael Barton, published 12 March 2023; it carries affiliate links and says LiTime appears to be the former Ampere Time brand. Reputation figures come from the Trustpilot profile for litime.com (4.6 from 1,664 reviews; claimed profile with a paid subscription), which we could open; the pages for litime.eu and fr.litime.com on Trustpilot returned 404. The product pages quote a Will Prowse Best Value 2023 mention and an ABYC marine claim; we could not verify either, so we treat them as brand claims. We wrote our own text. The images are our own screenshots of public pages, taken on 14 Oct 2026 and shown for review and commentary; the content and branding belong to LiTime and to Trustpilot, and we will remove them if asked. We did not download or reuse image files or logos.
