Why a second look

Our earlier review of Meilleur Moment dealt with knitwear: the silk-cashmere pullover and cardigans that anchor the range. The store has moved on to autumn. The home page on 14 Oct 2026 leads with a "Fall in Meilleur Moment" collection, the navigation carries a Fall 2026 collection, and the collections feed lists a Holiday Capsule 2026 and a Trench 26FW group. So this article covers what the first one did not: coats, trenches and what the labels say about them, plus the terms and reputation data as they stand today.

A note on which store you see

We had to look twice to get the US store. The page includes a script that reads your country from a Cloudflare lookup and, for visitors in Europe, switches the address to fr.meilleur-moment.com, and for some Southeast Asian countries to a Singapore store. A European visitor sees a Paris store in euros with different products and terms. Everything below is the US store, which is the one served to US visitors.

The wool coats

The Wool Coats collection lists 13 products from $299 to $599. Labels vary a lot: the 100% Australian Merino Wool Hooded Coat and the Large Lapel Pure Australian Wool are listed as 100% sheep wool, the Peak Lapel Wool Alpaca Coat is 86.9% sheep wool and 13.1% alpaca, and the Belted Wool-Cashmere Coat is 86.9% sheep wool and 13.1% cashmere. At the other end, the Tailored Wool Pea Coat is 74.9% sheep wool with 12.2% nylon, and the Peak Lapel Alpaca Wool Long Coat is 74% alpaca with 20.7% wool and 5.3% nylon.

Names are worth reading carefully. The Pure Wool Fluffy Coat page lists the fluff as 100% sheep wool on a 100% polyester base fabric, and the Pure Wool Shearling Jacket shows the same plush and base split. That is a common construction, but "pure wool" in a title describes only the pile.

Best seller: Camel Wool Cropped Coat with Scarf

The store's Best Seller collection places this cropped coat early. It costs $359, offers sizes XS to M, and comes with a matching scarf. The composition on the page is 81.3% sheep wool, 11.2% mulberry silk and 7.5% camel hair (excluding connecting thread). Care text says not to water wash or machine wash and recommends a professional dry cleaner. The page showed no customer reviews, so there is no brand-run rating to weigh. The page's own shipping note repeats free shipping over $90, 3 to 5 business days in the US and free 30-day returns.

Best seller: Sleek Midi Trench Coat

The trench is a belted, double-breasted midi coat at $259 in gray, or $229 in black. Its description speaks of a soft, durable fabric blend, but the composition line reads 94.3% polyester and 5.7% spandex, with a viscose and polyester lining and hand-wash care. A twin listing shows 93.3% polyester and 6.7% spandex. The page shows 5.00 from 4 reviews, one praising workmanship and the colour. Cotton trenches exist on the same store at $199 and $299, so the choice depends on what you want from the fabric.

Returns and shipping, rechecked

The refund policy on 14 Oct 2026 opens with a 30-day return and exchange window for online customers and "free return shipping for all online purchases". Our earlier review described a prepaid US label; the current text states free return shipping more broadly and adds that international customers can return to the nearest warehouse in New York, Paris, Singapore or Australia, with the brand covering costs, sometimes by reimbursement.

• Condition. Items must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and tagged. The policy text includes the odd word "incorrect" in that list. Returns with strong odours or hair can be refused.
• Process. Start with Request Return in your account. Returns sent without approval can be refused.
• Exchange. One free exchange per order.
• Refund time. 2 to 3 business days after the parcel arrives, up to 5 more business days if flagged.
• Shipping. Free from $90, otherwise $10, with 1 to 3 days of processing and 3 to 5 working days from US fulfilment. No APO, FPO or DPO addresses, and shipping problems must be reported within 180 days.

What the reputation data shows now

Trustpilot shows 2 reviews, averaging 3.4 out of 5, on an unclaimed profile. Trustpilot adds that the company has not invited its customers to review. The June 2026 review is five stars from a Canadian buyer who found the product as represented and the delivery prompt. The 2 October 2026 review gives two stars: the buyer said prices and charges were not shown as USD, that a cancelled order was not refunded until they followed up, and that the refund was $7 short. We cannot verify either account.

On the store itself, the best-selling Relaxed Pullover shows 4.86 from 274 reviews, up from 4.87 from 264 in our earlier check. Those are the brand's own review widgets. We searched for independent editorial coverage and found none.

Buying advice

Treat it as a label-first purchase. If you want a wool coat, choose from the collection by composition line, not by title. If you want a trench, decide whether a polyester one at $259 is what you want or whether the cotton ones suit you better. Check which currency the checkout shows, particularly outside the US, and keep your order emails in case a refund needs a follow-up.
