Pecron Portable power stations
A budget power station brand whose LiFePO4 units test well for the money and come with long registered warranties, but with return terms that leave shipping costs to you and mixed customer-service feedback.

Strong value power stations that test well, bought on terms where you carry more of the risk
Pecron is a Shenzhen-based brand that sells portable power stations, solar generator kits, expansion batteries, solar panels and 12V LiFePO4 batteries. Its current range runs from a 960 Wh camping unit to a 5,120 Wh home backup system with 240V output.
Independent testers at The Solar Lab and The Drive found Pecron units deliver their rated power, charge fast and cost far less than the big names, with efficiency of 80 to 84%. The weaker points are around the purchase: returns must be unused and you pay both return and original shipping, idle power draw is high on the larger models, and Trustpilot (3.5/5) and BBB (F) feedback mentions defective units, delays and slow replies. Register within 30 days to get the extended warranty, and Pecron becomes one of the best-value choices in the category.
Right for
- Buyers who want the most battery and inverter power for the money
- RV owners and home-backup buyers who need 30A or 240V output
- People who will register the product within 30 days to unlock the extra warranty years
Wrong for
- Buyers who want an easy, free change-of-mind return
- Anyone who needs a unit to sit idle on standby for long periods (higher idle draw on larger models)
- People who want the most polished app and support of the premium brands
+What it gets right
- Tests well for the price. The Solar Lab measured 83% efficiency at a full 3,600 W load on the F3000LFP and 84% on the F5000LFP, and The Drive gave the E1500LFP 8.5 out of 10.
- Fast charging. The F3000LFP charged from empty in just over 2 hours at 1,800 W AC, and the F1000LFP in 58 minutes.
- Long warranties if you register. Most power stations carry 2 years plus 3 more if registered within 30 days of purchase, for 5 years in total.
- LiFePO4 everywhere. Every current power station uses LiFePO4 cells rated for 3,500 to 4,000+ cycles to 80% capacity.
- Big expansion and output options. Several models add expansion batteries, and the F5000LFP gives 120V and 240V split-phase output from a single unit.
- Free US shipping. Standard delivery is free to the contiguous US and Canada in 4 to 10 business days.
−Where it slips
- Strict, costly returns. Returns must be requested within 30 days and be unused in original packaging, and you pay both the return shipping and the original shipping cost.
- High idle draw. The Solar Lab measured about 37 W idle on the F3000LFP and about 52 W on the F5000LFP, the highest it had tested.
- Mixed service record. Trustpilot shows 3.5 out of 5 from 55 reviews with 27% one-star; complaints mention defective panels, back-order delays and unanswered contacts.
- BBB F rating. Pecron LLC in City of Industry, California is not BBB accredited and is rated F, with 6 complaints in the past 3 years.
- Inflated reference prices. The F3000LFP is shown as 55% off $1,999, but The Solar Lab reports it launched at $999.
- Some models out of stock. The E3600LFP and E1000LFP were listed as sold out, and the F5000LFP and E3800LFP were on pre-order.
Weighted for performance and value, then warranty, returns and how buyers are treated
Measured performance and value carry the most weight for a power station, followed by warranty and after-sales terms. This is a desk-research score: we have not tested Pecron units ourselves, and we rely on independent hands-on reviews.
The long version
What the brand sells, what independent testers measured, what customers report and what the store's own policies say.
What Pecron is
Pecron is the power station brand of Miyang Technology, founded in Shenzhen, China in 2012. It launched its first portable power station in 2014, registered the Pecron brand in 2015 and started selling overseas in 2020, including an Indiegogo campaign. In 2025 it launched the lower-priced F-Series, which now makes up most of its line-up. In the US it sells through Pecron LLC in City of Industry, California, with warehouses in California, Canada and Germany.
The range covers portable power stations from about 1 kWh to 5 kWh, solar generator kits that bundle panels, expansion batteries, folding solar panels, 12V LiFePO4 batteries for RVs and small DC UPS units for routers and cameras. All current power stations use LiFePO4 cells, which Pecron rates for 3,500 or more cycles to 80% capacity.
What independent testers measured
The Solar Lab has tested several Pecron models. The F3000LFP held a full 3,600 W load without tripping, handled a 4,500 W surge for about 10 seconds, averaged 83% efficiency from full to empty and charged from AC in just over 2 hours. Its criticisms were an idle draw of about 37 W, tightly spaced AC outlets and no built-in light, and it called the unit "outstanding value".
The F5000LFP reached 84% efficiency and delivered 240V split-phase output from a single unit, with a very high 6,400 W solar input and built-in battery heaters. On the downside, it weighs 124 lb, it cannot charge from 240V, and its idle draw of about 52 W was the highest The Solar Lab had measured. The small F1000LFP charged from empty in 58 minutes, reached about 80% efficiency and won praise for front-facing ports, a built-in light and its 24 lb weight. Its battery cannot be expanded.
The Drive used the E1500LFP in mid-90°F Las Vegas heat to run a coffee maker, a home office and a pressure washer. It charged in under 2 hours, worked as a UPS without dropping power and scored 8.5 out of 10, with the reviewer calling it "an absolute bargain". The app's lack of charge limits was the main complaint.
What customers report
Trustpilot shows a profile claimed in April 2026 with 3.5 out of 5 from 55 reviews: 55% five-star and 27% one-star. Positive reviews praise value and, in many cases, responsive and knowledgeable support. Complaints mention defective solar panels, accessories that arrived weeks late because they were out of stock, and contacts that went unanswered. Pecron replies to its negative reviews.
The Better Business Bureau rates Pecron LLC F. It is not accredited and has 6 complaints in the past 3 years. We found no CPSC recall for Pecron products.
Pecron power stations worth a look
Pecron F3000LFP
The pick for most buyers. It has 3,072 Wh of capacity, a 3,600 W inverter with a 30A RV outlet, 1,800 W AC charging (3,200 W combined AC and solar) and up to 1,600 W of solar input, and it expands to 9,216 Wh with two batteries. It was $899 during the Fall Sale. The store shows this as 55% off $1,999, but The Solar Lab reports a $999 launch price, so the real saving is smaller than it looks.

Pecron F1000LFP
The camping and short-outage pick at $399. It packs 960 Wh and a 1,500 W inverter (3,000 W surge) into a 24 lb unit, with 1,000 W AC charging, 600 W solar input and a quiet 25 dB mode under 500 W. It cannot add an expansion battery.

Pecron E1500LFP
A mid-size, expandable unit at $549, with 1,536 Wh, a 2,200 W inverter, wireless charging and a built-in AC charger, expandable to 9,216 Wh with Pecron's EP3800-48V batteries. Pecron has extended its warranty to 5 years with registration. The store shows it as 58% off $1,299.

Pecron F5000LFP (pre-order)
The home-backup flagship at $2,199 on pre-order. It offers 5,120 Wh, 3,600 W at 120V or 7,200 W at 240V from one unit, up to 6,400 W of solar input and expansion to 35.8 kWh. At 124 lb it is not truly portable, and the high idle draw matters if it sits on standby. The product page lists the warranty both as "3+2 years" and as "5+1 years", so confirm the terms before you order.

Other models
The E3600LFP and E1000LFP, which most earlier reviews covered, were sold out on 10 Oct 2026. The larger E3800LFP (3,840 Wh, 4,200 W) was $1,299 and listed as shipping from mid-October.
Returns, warranty and shipping
- Cancellation. Free before the order ships or goes into production. After shipping, a $25 interception fee may apply if the carrier can stop it.

Buying advice
Work out the outlets and capacity you need, then compare actual prices rather than the discount percentage. Buy from Pecron's own store, test the unit as soon as it arrives, keep the packaging and register it within 30 days to get the extended warranty.
