Zendure Plug-in solar batteries
A plug-in solar battery brand with well-reviewed hardware and a long 10-year warranty, but with return shipping that can cost €150 to 250 and a mixed picture once you leave the French store's reviews.

Well-tested plug-in batteries with a long warranty, sold on return terms that expect you to be sure
Zendure sells plug-and-play solar batteries for balcony and rooftop solar, mostly its SolarFlow range, and runs a French store that ships across most of the EU. The two models that matter most are the SolarFlow 800 Pro 2, which takes panels directly, and the SolarFlow 2400 AC+, which couples to an existing solar system.
Independent testers are positive. Tom's Guide France gave the SolarFlow 2400 AC+ 8.5 out of 10 and measured about 92% efficiency, and German outlets rated the predecessor of the 800 Pro 2 as a clear recommendation. The brand backs the SolarFlow range with a 10-year warranty, and its French store scores 4.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 414 reviews. The caution is the exit: you have 30 days to return a product, but you pay return shipping for non-defect returns, which Zendure puts at roughly €150 to 250, and refunds are reduced if the unit was installed or wired in.
Right for
- Homeowners and renters in the EU with solar panels or a balcony system who want to store midday surplus
- People who want an app-controlled battery that is installed without an electrician for the plug-and-play models
- Buyers who value a long manufacturer warranty over the lowest sticker price
Wrong for
- Anyone who wants a risk-free trial, because a return after installation costs real money
- Buyers outside the countries listed in the shipping policy
- People looking for a portable camping power station, because the SuperBase portable units are listed but unavailable on zendure.fr
+What it gets right
- Strong test results. Tom's Guide France scored the SolarFlow 2400 AC+ 8.5 out of 10, and home&smart gave the 800 Pro 92 out of 100 (Sehr gut).
- Efficient. Tom's Guide measured about 92% efficiency on the 2400 AC+ (Zendure claims 93%), and Smartzone measured about 91% average inverter efficiency on the 800 Pro.
- Expandable storage. The 2400 AC+ starts at 2.4 kWh and grows to 16.8 kWh with up to five 2.88 kWh batteries.
- Long warranty. Zendure lists 10 years for the SolarFlow 800 Pro, 2400 AC, 2400 AC+, 2400 Pro, Mix and Hub models.
- Backup outlet. Both models have a 230 V off-grid socket: up to 1,000 W on the 800 Pro and up to 3,200 W on the 2400 AC+.
- Free standard shipping. Zendure's shipping policy says standard delivery is free, and the product pages quote dispatch within 3 to 5 days.
−Where it slips
- Costly returns. Return shipping for non-defect returns is the buyer's, estimated by Zendure at about €150 to 250 for heavy battery gear.
- Installed units lose value. The refund can be reduced if the product was fully installed, wired or integrated into other equipment.
- Replacements may be refurbished. Under warranty a defective unit is replaced with a factory-refurbished model of equal or higher value when one is in stock.
- Early-cycle quirk on the 2400 AC+. Tom's Guide saw the battery reserve fall to 2% during the first three cycles despite a 15% setting; it did not repeat afterwards.
- Slower zero-feed-in response. Smartzone measured 2 to 4 seconds with a Shelly Pro 3EM and about 5 seconds with an Ecotracker on the 800 Pro, slower than rivals it cites.
- Mixed feedback elsewhere. The zendure.fr Trustpilot profile is unclaimed and shows slow delivery and support replies in some reviews; the international zendure.com pages score lower.
Weighted for performance, how long the product is covered, and what it costs to leave
Test results and warranty carry the most weight, because a home battery is a four-figure purchase that is hard to ship back. This is a desk-research score: we have not tested a Zendure ourselves, and we rely on independent reviews and the store's own policy pages.
The long version
What the brand sells, what independent testers found, what customers report and what the store's own policies say.
What Zendure is
Zendure is run by Zendure DE GmbH, a company registered in Dusseldorf, Germany. Its About page says the brand has built mobile batteries, portable power stations and home energy storage since 2013, with teams in Silicon Valley, the Greater Bay Area in China and Japan, and names Bryan Liu as founder and CEO.
On the French store the focus is the SolarFlow range: plug-and-play batteries that store the surplus from balcony or rooftop panels and feed it back to your home in the evening. The older SuperBase portable power stations are still listed but marked unavailable on 12 Oct 2026, so this review is about home solar batteries rather than camping gear.

What independent testers found
Tom's Guide France tested the SolarFlow 2400 AC+ and gave it 8.5 out of 10 (8 April 2026). The reviewer called it robust and intuitive, with a single-block design, an integrated inverter and silent passive cooling, and measured about 92% efficiency against Zendure's claim of 93%. The pros it lists are quick setup in the app, storage that grows to 16.8 kWh, a powerful off-grid outlet and many pre-registered energy suppliers. The one con is a discharge that went too far during the first cycles.
For the 800 series the hands-on tests are of the earlier SolarFlow 800 Pro. Smartzone measured an average usable capacity of 1,930 Wh, a PV input rating of 2,640 W, about 91% average inverter efficiency and combined charge and discharge losses of 17%. It called the device worth recommending and fairly priced, and criticised a zero-feed-in response of 2 to 4 seconds with a Shelly Pro 3EM, and battery heating that only works through AC charging. home&smart gave it 92 out of 100 (Sehr gut) and listed the 1.92 kWh default capacity and an app that sometimes loses its connection as the downsides.
What customers report
The zendure.fr Trustpilot profile shows about 4.7 out of 5 from 414 reviews, with 79% five-star and 4% one-star. Positive reviews praise responsive after-sales support and quick resolution, including replacements and refunds. Negative ones mention long delivery times, waiting during stock shortages, the app's advanced mode and support that is sometimes slow. The profile is unclaimed and shows no company replies.
Regional Trustpilot pages for the international zendure.com site list a lower score, around 3.5 out of 5 from roughly 850 reviews, with support praised in some reviews and criticised in others. The product page for the SolarFlow 2400 AC+ shows 87 reviews, collected on the brand's own store.
Zendure models worth a look

Zendure SolarFlow 2400 AC+
The page lists 2.4 kWh of storage, expandable to 16.8 kWh, 2,400 W bidirectional AC power, plug-and-play operation at 800 W by default and compatibility with existing rooftop PV inverters. It is priced at €839 against a regular €1,279 during the sale; the version with one extra AB3000L battery (5.28 kWh) is €1,498 and five extra batteries (16.8 kWh) €4,134. Tom's Guide measured a 3,200 W off-grid outlet that empties the battery in about 40 minutes at full draw, a weight of 27.8 kg and IP65 protection. Que Choisir lists an indicative price of €1,279 and the same specifications, but its score is for subscribers.

Zendure SolarFlow 800 Pro 2
The page lists a 1.92 kWh integrated battery, low-voltage start-up, MPPT input of 2,640 W (4 x 660 W) and 1,000 W bidirectional AC. It costs €599 on sale (regular €979); with one AB2000L add-on battery (3,840 Wh in total) it is €1,118, and kits with 2 to 4 bifacial panels start at €899. The earlier 800 Pro is what the independent tests above covered.
Warranty, returns and shipping
These terms come from the store's own policy pages.
- Warranty. Zendure lists 10 years for the SolarFlow 800 Pro, 2400 AC, 2400 AC+, 2400 Pro, Mix and Hub models and the add-on batteries, 5 years for the Ace 1500, and 1 year for accessories.
- Returns. You have 30 days from receipt, longer than the EU minimum. The item must be complete and resaleable, with its manual, cables and accessories, and you need an RMA number from support before shipping it back.
- Return costs. For returns that are not a quality fault the return transport is paid by the customer, which Zendure puts at about €150 to 250 because of battery transport rules.
- Deductions. The refund can be reduced if the unit was fully installed or wired, is scratched or dented, or is missing parts or its packaging.
- Replacement. A faulty unit is replaced, possibly by a factory-refurbished model of equal or higher value, and the warranty date stays tied to the original purchase.
- Refunds. Paid to the original payment method 5 to 7 working days after the warehouse inspection.
- Shipping. Standard delivery is free, from local warehouses in 3 to 7 days, and SolarFlow components can arrive in several parcels.

Buying advice
Decide first whether you want panels connected straight to the battery (800 Pro 2) or a battery added to a solar system you already have (2400 AC+). Check your country's rules for how much power you may feed into the grid, order the size you will use, and test the system within 30 days while the box and packaging are still intact.

The two Zendure models worth a look
Zendure sells many SolarFlow variants. These two cover the main choice: panels connected straight to the battery, or a battery added to a solar system you already have. Prices are zendure.fr prices on 12 Oct 2026, with the regular price in brackets.
| Model | Price | Storage and power | How it connects |
|---|---|---|---|
| SolarFlow 800 Pro 2 | €599 (979) | 1.92 kWh, expandable to 3.84 kWh with one AB2000L · 1,000 W bidirectional AC | Panels connect to 4 MPPT inputs (2,640 W) · plug-in installation |
| SolarFlow 2400 AC+ | €839 (1,279) | 2.4 kWh, expandable to 16.8 kWh · 2,400 W bidirectional AC | AC-coupled to an existing PV inverter · 800 W injection by default |
Choose the 800 Pro 2 if you are adding panels and a battery together, for example to a balcony. Choose the 2400 AC+ if you already have a rooftop system with an inverter and want more storage and a stronger backup outlet. Check the price of the two options with the add-on battery you actually need before you decide.

Good hardware and a long warranty, bought on terms that need care
Zendure's SolarFlow batteries are well reviewed. The 2400 AC+ earned 8.5 out of 10 at Tom's Guide France with 92% measured efficiency, and the earlier 800 Pro was rated a clear recommendation in Germany. A 10-year warranty on the main models is rare in this category.
The risks are in the paperwork around the purchase. Returns cost real money once the unit is heavy and wired in, warranty claims may end in a refurbished replacement, and the feedback outside the French store is more mixed. Pick the right connection type first, and treat the 30 days as a window to test, not to change your mind.
Consider it if you
- You have solar panels, or are adding them, and want to use more of your own power
- You want a long manufacturer warranty and an app-controlled system
- You have confirmed the connection type and the local rules for injection
Skip it if you
- You want a cheap, risk-free trial or easy change-of-mind returns
- You need a portable camping power station
- You are outside the countries the store ships to
How this review was put together
This is a desk-research review. We have not tested a Zendure ourselves. Product specifications, prices and variants come from the zendure.fr store (checked 12 Oct 2026); returns, warranty and shipping terms from the store's refund, warranty and shipping policy pages; company details from its About and legal pages. Hands-on findings come from Tom's Guide France, Smartzone and home&smart; Que Choisir and Test-Achats list the 2400 AC+ but keep their scores and verdicts behind a paywall, so we did not use them.
